Silverstone saw the last round of the Excool OSS Championship, which has built on last year’s success with grids of 20+ cars for the last two rounds.
For the last two years TFL Racing have been supporting Duncan Williams in his Juno CN Car racing in Class B of the event and this weekend saw Duncan achieve a 3rd, 2nd and 1st in the 3 races.
Race 1 on Saturday was dry and Duncan came a strong 2nd in Class behind Craig Fleming in his Juno.
Race 2 was in torrential rain on the Sunday as the remnants of Hurricane Bertha swept through and he again came 2nd in class and 2nd overall.
Race 3 was a nail biter in the assembly area, whether to go with wet tyres or slicks as the track was drying. Just before leaving Assembly, the team switched Duncan to slicks and Craig’s team followed suit.
This proved to be the correct decision as Craig and Duncan took out a massive lead from the rest of the field on the drying track, but Craig was then to fall by the wayside with an engine problem and he had to pull off. Now in the lead, Duncan built up a 30 second gap to take the flag.
TFL Racing have been proud to run Duncan in what is a fantastic club racing series. All due credit must go to the organisers and competitors who have made it the series to be in for Sports Prototype cars in the UK.
We currently have a 2011 specification Juno for sale, which is eligible for Class B of the Excool OSS or similar championships. Please contact us for further details of the car.
